What are veneers?

Veneers are ultra-thin layers of ceramic or porcelain that is affixed to the front surface of the tooth to help improve the shape, shade, and colour of the tooth, leaving behind a more even smile.

What are veneers made of?

Veneers are often made of synthetic ceramic material or made from porcelain. Here at Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, we can offer our patients CEREC veneers.

What is CEREC?

CEREC stands for CEramic REConstruction. Made from high quality, non-toxic materials, CEREC allows us to create your dental restoration while you’re in the practice – so there’s barely any wait time, and you only must visit us here once.

As with other veneers, we’ll colour match the material to your natural teeth, and they’ll be designed and shaped to fit in with the rest of your mouth. Made from highly durable porcelain, CEREC veneers are chemically bonded to the tooth, which means more of the healthy tooth is left behind.
